Fun moments

The Collie family sent Amelia a birthday "cake" made of beautiful flowers so of course we wanted to get a picture of Amelia with the flowers. In the first picture, she decided to make her own birthday present which did not smell like flowers, and the second picture is her satisfaction afterwards!

Revelation

Marty now knows what the top of his head looks like.

Blue Plate Special

Amelia has a little jaundice so the hospital sent over a light therapy table for her to enjoy. The table fits in her pack n’ play and she actually seems to enjoy it. We also saw the pediatrician today and he says she looks great and to keep doing what we are doing.

More Pictures

Amelia is here!

Like any woman in the family, Amelia had to change the plans to suit her. I was admitted to the hospial at 6pm on Wednesday, May 26th.......to make a long story short, Amelia did not want to cooperate and I had to have an emergency C section Thursday evening because the cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times. There were no complications during surgery. Now the tale of the tape: Hailing from Lubbock, TX, coming in at 6lbs 14oz, her vertical reach is 20 inches long, with blue/grey eyes, dark brown hair with light brown highlights (no kidding). "Diva Kimlindamon Jachel Terol Martinez" aka: Amelia Helen Martinez!!!!!

In all seriousness our family is doing welld. Now for the pictures.

SPC Baby Shower

My co-workers held a wonderful shower for us today at the T-Club Lounge at the Levelland Campus. I'm so grateful that my co-workers and friends want to celebrate with us. Here are some pictures from the shower:

Here are the hostesses!

Someone must know how much we like to be in the water because Amelia already has her first bathing suit!

We got some great gifts including the diaper genie, tummy time center, cute clothes, great books, and some gift cards!

Updates and New Pictures

We had another sonogram today, and the doctor officially said, "She's perfect." She weighs 3 pounds and 13 ounces. The doctor said she is on track to be a 7 and 1/2 pound baby.
It's probably a good time to give everyone the details of where we will be when Amelia arrives. We will be at Covenant Women's Hospital, Lakeside Campus, located at 4000 24th Street (close to Quaker and 24th) and Labor and Delivery is on the 4th floor. Visiting hours are 8:00 am to 9:00 pm with a limit of 4 visitors at a time, and children under the age of fourteen are not allowed general visitation on the Mother/Baby Unit.

She still looks like her Daddy!

But she may have her mom's wide feet and long toes!

Learning to Sew

We had a great visit last week from Kim, Tara, Brandon and Mom. We had snow and icky weather most of the time so I don't have any good pictures with the kids or Kim, but Kim was the best help with creating our baby registries. After they left, Mom taught me how to sew. I love it! We made the most beautiful blankets and matching pillows for our recliners!
